About Masseter Botox
(jaw muscle)

Masseter Botox relieves the pain associated with bruxism (clenching), temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), and the headaches associated with an overactive masseter muscle.

The cosmetic benefit of botox in the masseter muscle is a softening effect on the jawline—diminishing the "square" shape and slimming the contour for a softer V-shape. The effects are wonderful, and you maintain all ability to freely move your jaw and chew normally.

Results last +/- three months.

AVOID:

● Avoid NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Aspirin, Motrin, Celebrex, fish oil, Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort and high doses of Vit E) for up to 7-10 days before treatment. These medications can increase your risk of bleeding and bruising.

● If you are worried about discomfort, please have a small snack and take a Tylenol to help, before the appointment.
